 A Tribute to Doctor Marjorie and . . . her best Friend June 1, 2011 She came to be among us, Ninety years ago, and more, This lady with such power, To give from her great store. She shared her faith with others, And seeds of kindness sown, Then, watered by the Spirit, The Wildwood “San” would grow. There never was a stranger, Who came to church one day, But was welcomed to the “family,” With warmth in Margie’s way. I can hear her in the classroom, Teaching the faithful few, Exhorting all to study, In Wildwood's medical school. She saw patients at our clinic, Taught hydro and nutrition; Helped her husband scientist, Fulfilled a wife’s ambition. With years on her a’plenty, And energy to spare, Margie maintained her vigor, To serve, to lift, to share. She has a great big family, Some here to say “good bye,” All grateful for her mission, She lived for Christ — that’s why. And now her life is ended With parting for a while, For she will soon see Jesus, And with the sight, a smile. Then with perfect health and powers, We can meet her in the air, Forever with our Saviour, No burdens more to bear. Dear friend, will you be like her, And live for Jesus, here; When this earthly life is over, Eternity with her (and Him) is there. by Richard A. Hansen, M.D. |
